While Model UN provides an invaluable learning experience for all delegates, we recognize that many attendees are highly competitive. As such, we are committed to recognizing delegates who exhibit notable skills in diplomacy, speech, and crafting solutions with various awards. Awards are adjudicated based on notes taken by Rapporteurs throughout the conference, as well as observations made by the Head and Vice Chairs.
Non-HMUN Qualifier Awards (Allied Response to 9/11, Nintendo BoD, Spanish Invasion)
HMUN Qualifier Awards (UNODC, Romeo and Juliet, ADHOC)
We are committed to upholding our equity policy in all aspects of our conference experience, including awards decisions. People who have demonstrated a disregard for this policy will not be rewarded: delegates given countries/characters with polarizing positions must also remain respectful of diversity at all times, and support the welcoming and inclusive space we are working to create for all attendees of WCHSMUN 2026.
Recognize also that awards are handed out in good faith by committee staff, operating with all of the information they have access to. Please be respectful of their decisions, and refrain from speaking negatively about the outcome.
