Hello Delegates!
At WCHSMUN 2023, we encourage competition as long as it is friendly and fair. Any violation of equity or possession of pre-written papers will result in strict repercussions.
WCHSMUN 2023 is a technology and paper hybrid conference.
For GAs and SAs, paper notes will be used. Working papers will be completed on Google docs and sent via committee emails.
For Crisis committees, Slack will be the main method of communication between the dais, staff, and delegates. In Crisis committees, delegates will send crisis notes, JPDs, and directives through Slack through a specified private group chat. For the purposes of ensuring that these group chats are made in time for committees, we ask that delegates join the Slack one week before the conference. Slack committee links will be sent two weeks prior to the conference to provide ample time for delegates to join. Because of this, delegates are allowed laptops and/or personal devices during the committee. You will be able to access Slack through school guest Wi-Fi and therefore will not need to rent laptops if you own a personal device. Laptop rentals can be arranged if you are unable to access these resources. Please fill out this form to do so. After joining the Slack, please rename your profile to include your country/character assignment followed by your first and last name in brackets.
It is important to highlight that the use of ChatGPT and other AI assistance for the formation of speeches and working papers is not allowed and could be grounds for automatic disqualification from awards.
The dress code at WCHSMUN is Western Business Attire. All delegates must be clothed in formal or business casual clothes that represent their self-identified gender.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or requests.
Regards,
WCHSMUN 2023 Secretariat
