UNDP 2015 is an exciting take on the traditional UN General Assembly, which places all the power into the hands of the delegate. Over the course of committee sessions, delegates will be responsible for creating and fostering the new United Nations Development Goals of 2015 that the United Nations will implement. This means that delegates will be forced to think critically about goals that will foster and create the framework for the tomorrow's future. Delegates, the UN awaits.
Welcome to one of the most popular leagues in American sports, the National Basketball Association. Every year, 30 teams from the across the United States of America and Canada compete to raise the Larry O’Brien trophy. While the Golden State Warriors have had much recent success, winning 3 out of the last 4 championships, this has largely been due to the 3-point line. With the ever changing nature of basketball, rule changes are always being considered in order to adapt with the way the game being played. This committee will discuss many of the potential issues with the current NBA, and how to solve them in a fair and balanced way. Secondly, this committee will examine the future of the league, as some teams are gradually losing interest while other cities have potential large sources of revenue. Professional basketball is rapidly becoming about more than just the NBA, as there are many other leagues such as the WNBA, Euroleague, and the Olympics. Further discussion is warranted on how the NBA can effectively collaborate with these various leagues to allow them to grow and develop, making basketball a truly global and inclusive sport. Come one, come all to bureaucratic basketball.
